Impression of
the first few weeks
My impression of the first few weeks of csc148 is pretty good. The course is just what I expect it will be. The new stuff taught in this course is not very hard and I am feeling good about this course. Unlike some of the courses, this course does not throw a bunch of things on students in a short period of time, and in lab I can practice the new materials learned in that week so that I won’t fall behind. But there are still chances to fall behind if I don’t spend enough time studying and finish the lab, so I try to start the lab before Friday (lab on Fri). Also, tools such as course notes and annotated slides are useful for me to learn or review the material after class.
However, the
assignment was kind of confusing to me until last weekend, and I have no other
way but starting it. It got better as I started, though there is still some confusion
such as some of the code I don’t know which file should I put it in.
For the things
just learned, the new technique recursion seems to be interesting. I can trace
the code of it but don’t quiet know how to write the code mainly because when
there is error in my code, I don’t understand and can’t figure out which part
of my code goes wrong.
